Great work guys. I love your work, and that you've continued working on this project! I just have a comment on the vine bridge animation - although i like your current idea, I feel you might be mistaken. As you are looking for a more "realistic" feel, the vines should not snap (at least that much? at least if their elasticity is more similar to a rope than a spring). Adifferent approach could be to reduce the snap, which is caused by the knot being untied/released by the weight of the character on it. Just my 10 cents - what do you think?
We're actually not going for a more realistic feel at all! That's the main reason our artists over-exaggerated the snap motion of the vines, a trend you'll see continue in the various animations we plan to show off. Cheers!
In your previous post, you said that there will be distinct Act 2 music (and Act 3, I presume, for Metropolis Zone). Will "retro" versions of these tracks appear as bonus music in the soundtrack?
Great work guys, this project is looking absolutely STUNNING (capitalized as it should be).
Also, theres this one thing I've been asking myself for a couple of days: When you guys finally release this will you release it as open software, with the source code? Some people would find the ground work laid out by this game a great help in developing Sonic 3&K/1 HD !!
